Morning swimming is a great way for students to start the day in the summer. Swimming lessons are provided for all grade levels. Staff members are present to encourage effort and facilitate help in the locker room.
Mornings are special at Anita Oaks School. Academic classes are offered in reading, hands on math, test taking skills and writing strategies for all grade levels. Afternoons are full of fun and variety. We offer three different one hour afternoon enrichment classes a day to expose our students to a diversity of subjects including photography, the arts, exercise, technology, cooking and sign language. Chess Masters is also a great class offered one afternoon a week. Exposure to chess helps develop critical thinking skills in students. This fascinating class helps develop the mind while enjoining a bit of friendly competition among friends.
Stimulating Fridays are days full of excitement. We journey to motivating venues such as museums, horseback riding trails, Knott’s Berry Farm, the Gold Line to Olvera Street and other exciting adventures. Our goal is to broaden our students’ experiences in hopes of sparking their intellectual interest. Students can participate the whole day or any part of it. We always encourage our students to come join the fun.
